You died. You felt your last heart beat, and felt your body numb as your eyesight faded. Yet then you awoke, alive, breathing, wet. You found yourself on a beach, and you are not alone. Others from different times and places that you scarcely could have imagined are here too. Together, can you survive and discover why and how you’ve come to live again?

Please no characters from the future. I don’t expect people to be 100% non-anachronistic but at the same time try to keep with your character’s time period’s culture and tech level as much as you can.
