One Hundred years ago, as he laid on his death bed, a wizard cast a powerful spell on a Toy Tin Soldier. This spell thrust life into the toy, and any toy near it. The wizard gave this toy the charge of protecting his son, and all children near his son. For the wizard new when he died, the darkness would want to hurt anyone and everyone connected to the wizard.
After the wizard died, the wizard’s son and the Tin Toy Soldier went to the orphanage. That night, and every night since, the darkness attacked the children. The toys defended the children. The toys still defend the children. They have for over a hundred years. The war still rages, and the toys still fight.

Characters:
Your characters will be the toys that defend the orphanage. The toys are animated by the spell, but they are powered by love. The more a toy is played with, the longer the toy is played with the more powerful they become. But if they go to long with out being played with they become weak. If they are lost, and they have not been played with in a long time they can be corrupted. They can become part of the Darkness.
When you write up your character, refrence how old the toy is, and how much they are played with. This determines how strong they are against the darkness.
Toys can act within their nature. So fighting toys fight better. Where as social toys are more social. But kids don’t always play with toys as they are designed. Did a little girl dress her doll as a wizard a long time ago. So the doll is now linked as a wizard. Well then that doll can cast spells at the darkness.
There will be a special goal card that represents your love level. You will only get this goal when you are being loved by a child. When you play the card, it represents an extraordinary use of your powers.
Exp. 1 The wizard doll can cast small spells as long as she has one Love card. But is she wants to cast a big spell say to cause an earthquake, she would need to spend a love card.
Exp. 2 A Teady Bear caries his wooden sword around all the time. The sword cuts through the darkness all the time. If he spends a Love card, he can wade through the darkness like a Paladin through hell.
Once all Love cards are spent, then the character must start fighting off the darkness. They become weak and can become corrupted.
