After Zygons infiltrated the UN Security Council, Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart and his troops have been seconded to Geneva to sort out the whole sorry mess.
With a new CO, and all new personnel, the UK branch of the Unified Intelligence Taskforce is remodelled for the 1990’s. Combining the might of Her Majesty’s Armed Forces with the brilliance and innovation of civilian scientific know-how, UNIT remains Earth’s first, best hope of defence against extraterrestrial attack.
Narrator Notes
1] We’re ABSOLUTELY NOT touching the UNIT dating conundrum! These stories will sit in that comfortably ill-defined period after Terror of the Zygons and before the 2005 reboot. In terms of technology, mobile phones exist but are few and far between. There’s an internet, and UNIT worldwide is plugged in, but it’s slow, disorganised and will take some time to find information.
2] At no time will the Doctor be materialising, and use of existing companions and villains/monsters will be the narrator’s privilege! This is for new stories with new characters set in the classic Who universe. That’s partly because I don’t know the copyright rules on these things, partly because I think it’ll be more interesting to explore new areas.

3] I’m taking the Classic TV series as canon, if that becomes important. Whilst I love the Big Finish audio dramas, all the comics, novels etc. there’s just too much to keep track of. So the 1963-1989 TV series is where we draw reference from. Anything since the 2005 reboot is in our character’s future.
4] The structure will be 4 acts, to mimic the old classic serials four episodes per story. I’ll try my best to give you a cliff hanger ending for each act!
5] I find the best games work when players are happy for others writers to include their characters in their moves. Please be respectful of others characters and - if you have doubts about what you’re about to do - please use the Storium messaging mechanisms to check with other players first. Feel free to get me to request an edit if you feel outraged about how your character is being used.
Doctor Who and its accoutrements are the property of the BBC, and we obviously don’t have any right to them. I’ll try to acknowledge original creators as and when I drop existing characters into the story. Everything here is all done out of love for a cheap-looking sci-fi show!
