Being punctual was extremely valuable in this day and age. With the stock market at an all time low, workers were being sacked left and right until only the most productive remained. Andy looked to the man next to him and wondered if he was worrying about the same thing. The man couldn’t have been more than a few years older, maybe thirty or so. Andy was about to take a sip of his coffee when the glass of the bus stop cracked loudly along it’s length, startling the coffee out of his hands. There was an audible pop, like a breaking balloon in the distance, the pressure in the air near doubled and the man next to him crumpled like a can. Andy jumped to his feet and backed away as the man fell into himself. His limbs twisting and dislocating, his ribs breaking and blood spurting where bones broke through the skin. The man was little more than a mess of bloodied flesh and bone when finally, with explosive force, the body flew sideways and smashed clean through the far glass wall of the bus stop. A few people stopped, horrified at the bloody mess. Someone stepped forward but was deterred by Andy’s shout.
“Stop! Don’t touch him. It’s Vigour Mortis.”
