You laugh, surely this is too good to be true, must be spam. You go to tap the annoyingly small ‘x’ button on the top right hand corner. The irritating pop up moves, and you miss the button. Annoyingly, you are greeted by another pop up message.
“All you have to do is bring your full sums won and bring one lucky person with you. Your Plus One is responsible for your second draw and will share your winnings!”
“Double the players, Double the money!”
Double the money? The words are bright and flashing on the screen. You want to wave the idea away, but… Forty Million Storybucks sounds interesting.
You tap the ‘See More’ button out of curiosity.
“All Plus Ones are invited to play a special round of our Lottery, with guaranteed wins up to double the original amount! All you have to do is show up! It’s that simple. You’ve already done the hard part by winning in the first place! Let us reward you even more for being a Lottery Winner!”
Guaranteed wins? you ponder. Feeling a little untouchable with your 20 mill, you tap the ‘Sign up’ button. After all, the money is already locked into your bank account. You could literally jet out of there if things go south. Perhaps you even feel a little smug. You and your loved one could use a tropical getaway.
“Nearly there! Grab your cheque book, pack your bags, hold on to your Plus One REALLY REALLY TIGHTLY because even bigger winnings await you two on Storypore Island!”
